Meconium Happens

So what happens if your amniotic sac breaks at home and the liquid has a brown tint to it?

Most likely, your baby has has his or her first bowel movement.  There are a number of reasons why a baby may poop in utero but the most important thing to remember is that it is not necessarily an emergency and it does not always indicate that the baby is in distress and needs to be born immediately
